People enter the field of O&P from a wide variety of educational and occupational backgrounds. Most enjoy working with their hands and using power tools found in many shops or manufacturing environments. They are resourceful, problem solvers with a gift for helping others. 

Many transition into this unique career field from manufacturing, the automotive industry, engineering, military service, the arts, and other service industries. At Hanger, we provide individuals the ability to enter the field and be trained by the best in the O&P industry. We welcome those looking to make a change. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required with life experience encouraged.
